Privacy Policy

This policy explains what classicalguitarrocks.com does with your data: the cookies it sets, the analytics and advertising it runs, and how you control both. There is no comment system, no user accounts, and no email sign-up anywhere on this site — the only account relationship this site has with anyone is through Patreon, which is governed by Patreon’s own privacy policy, not this one.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which lessons they read. It does not sell or share this data with third parties beyond Google’s standard analytics processing.

By default, before you make any choice, every analytics signal is set to denied: no analytics cookie is set and nothing that could identify you is sent to Google. That default only changes once you make a choice in the consent banner shown on your first visit — declining keeps it denied.

Advertising

This site displays ads through Google AdSense (publisher ID pub-8978372573183975). AdSense may set cookies to measure ad performance and, unless you tell Google otherwise, to personalise the ads you see based on your browsing activity.

Ads get the same treatment as analytics: denied by default, and no ad cookie is set until you consent in the banner.

You can control ad personalisation directly with Google at adssettings.google.com, independently of the choice you make here.

Changing your choice

Google’s consent banner lets you reopen and change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies directly in your browser’s own settings; doing so may affect how some parts of this site behave.

YouTube embeds

Lesson pages embed YouTube videos as click-to-load thumbnails. Nothing from youtube.com loads, and no YouTube cookie is set, until you press play on a specific video. Once you do, that video — and any cookies it sets — is governed by YouTube’s own privacy policy, not this one.

This site links to other websites, including YouTube and Patreon. Rhayn Jooste cannot guarantee or verify the content of any externally linked site and is not responsible for their privacy practices. Visit external links at your own discretion, and check their own privacy policy before sharing anything with them.

Your data rights
